the experiment.
i am a huge music fan, so naturally, the first place i searched for a blog name, was song titles. Slow To Learn is a song by Manchester Orchestra (http://www.myspace.com/manchesterorchestra), but ironically, i did not chose this particular song title because of the enlightening lyrics or it’s deep underlying meaning, because actually the song has neither. i was browsing through my itunes library when i came across this title, and it made me think of how relevant the phrase “slow to learn” is to my ongoing relationship with jesus christ and my journey of faith thus far.
although i personally feel i have a very strong, confident and healthy relationship with jesus christ, almost everyday i learn something new about the lord or christianity or myself that makes me think in a completely new way, thus the term “slow to learn” describes the way in which i, and i imagine many others, slowly from day to day, month to month, year to year, learn more and more about christianity and grow deeper and deeper in our relationship with god.
i didn’t create this blog with the intention to preach or convince, or with any mastermind narcissistic goals in mind, and honestly, not even to be heard. i simply want to put all of my thoughts (religious, musical, educational, etc.) on page, in order to sort out the things in my life in a sort of journal way. if you choose to follow this blog, please keep the latter in mind, and know that all that i say is simply my opinion or thought and nothing i say is ever intended to offend or belittle.
i’m hoping this experiment will become an enjoyable and relaxing hobby for me and if anything i share helps, entertains, or just pleases any person who may read it, i would be ecstatic and honored.
god is love.
